Board Game Night?

I have been told that Thursday nights are "Board Game Night" but I have had very little luck with board games on Thursday over the last couple of months. Is there any other day and time that work better for trying to start an impromptu board game?

Re: Board Game Night?

hey, sorry this is so late in coming. Thursday night -is- board game night. As far as I know there is always at least one game running. The thursday night you were there for example enough poeple showed up to split into two groups, Ron even ran a game of World of Warcraft with 6 poeple.

I did show up to look for you that thursday too but got drawn into a game on the other side of the store in the room without the pop machines (and the broken bathroom..at least I think its broke heh) I was'nt sure who you were, I did check in but I think you were watching/playing at the big green table in the corner with a mini's game of some sort and by the time I was done with the game on the other side you had left.

I would be glad to try and make a point of meeting up with you and getting a game going you ususaly can starting between 7-7:30, you just need to ask around abit I think. I'm not there that often, college and life keeps me away, I will see what I can do to be there tommorow night though if you care to drop by and try again! If you like though, contact me by email at [email protected] I've got more freetime on the weekends and friday ect then I do on thursday nights most of the time and would be glad to see if I could'nt join you for a board-game say on saturday afternoons, Ron and others sometimes run longer games like Twilight Imperium or ect on that day between 12-1 or 7, and there is ususual enough room for a big game or two amid the war-gamers and such at least until 7 and the magic or ect group for saturday shows, sometimes even then.

Let me know.

Daniel

Re: Board Game Night?

Obviously I didn't make it to GameHQ tonight (11/9). Last Thursday (11/2) I was watching the Flames of War game since Ed Enslinger, who was playing that game, was probably going to be one of my players. However the miniatures game went late and by the time it finished it was really too late for me to start anything. My problem is that I have to be up at 6:00 AM on Friday's so I don't dare stay any later than 11:00 PM or so. The games that we have been trying all take a minimum of about 4 hours so if we don't get started by 7:00 there is very little chance we can finish.

I might try to make it next Thursday (11/16) but I don't want to commit myself since my free time is at a premium during the Holiday season.

Ed is very interested in trying out Fury of Dracula and I'd like to either try that or Order of the Stick. I will try to remember and post again next Tuesday or Wednesday when I have a better idea about whether or not I will make it for Thursday.
