Re: The Arkham Horror

Didn't see you Thursday but we had a total of four players anyway. Hastur was the draw and we saved Arkham.

I am going to take a break and skip this week (5/17/07). I will try to make it next week (5/24/07) for another go at Arkham Horror or perhaps Fury of Dracula.

I won't be making it to board game night again this week. I have a cold and doubt that I'll feel much better by tomorrow. Hopefully I will be there next Thursday (5/31/07).

Re: The Arkham Horror

Once again I must bow out for tomorrow's board game night (5/31/07). I have to go on a business trip Friday morning and my mother is having some out-patient surgery done on Thursday afternoon. I just got too much on my plate to try and make it tomorrow.

I intend to be at Game HO on 6/7/07 and I'll have my copy of the revised edition of Arkham Horror with me.

I never have found the time to get out there to play this with you all which is a real shame. I even own the game and know the rules!

Which leads me to say, do you all use or have any interest in the dunwich expansion? I'd be glad to pick out the peices of it from my own box (its mixed in atm to save space in my house) and bring it if I ever do find time this summer..which is more likely then it was during the college season.

Re: The Arkham Horror

I have all of the expansions (Dark Pharaoh and Dunwich Horror). I have played with each of the expansions once.

Every time we play on Thursday night we seem to run out of time as we near the endgame. We've never attempted to use the Dunwich expansion on Thursday since we can't seem get a regular game done. Part of the time issue is caused by teaching new players the rules as we go along. It seems that each game we have played has had at least one new player.

I need to schedule a weekend game so we would have time to play a game using the Dunwich expansion. The soonest I could schedule something like that would be the weekend of June 23rd.

Is anybody interested? If so when would be the best time?

Anything going on tonight?

This weekend I would play a game... Late Saturday afternoon or some time on Sunday would be good for me.

I just got King In Yellow if anyone wants to take a crack at using that... (I also have CotDP and DH)

Using Dark Pharaoh or King in Yellow would not slow down the Thursday games, but Dunwich adds some considerable time to the game.

Obviously nothing went on tonight. I picked up the KiY expansion on Wednesday.

I would like to play a game including the Dunwich Horror since we never have the time for that on Thursday nights. I should be free both Saturday and Sunday so when would be best for you?
